Feeling Like Floyd In This May Weather!

This time last year I signed up to Just Tori #FLY30 movement where throughout the month of June I wrote down goals that I wanted to conquer in the duration of that month.

As many of you know, this time last year I was well into the thick of rehearsals for my debut play "Ex-periences" so a lot of my goals were surrounding making that a success as I was the director/writer/manager/promoter/social media manager/producer...

But my biggest goal, was that I wanted to cut my relaxed hair and be natural...it took a lot of personal chats with Tori, deciding to do it and then punk out to the point where I didn't even up cutting my hair off until the following month outside of the #FLY30 month...but through it all Tori was an amazing shoulder to lean on. Tori is just an amazing, uplifting, loving spirit and she genuinely wants everyone to be the best versions of themselves, this is why a year later we are still friends!

So the time has come again for her #FLY30 where for 30 days you conquer your goals, start something that you've always wanted to do, or learn something new and it's the #YearOfLavish so you already know that I am ALL for making this year the most lavish and enjoyable year so far!

This channel is about overcoming fear (as well as phobias) and all the things I'm actively doing to "Fear Less" So it my birthday next month JUNE 5th and I'm challenging you to FEAR LESS with me for 30 days JUNE 2017.

My natural anniversary isn't until July 18th and I remember it like it was yesterday I was in school, boiling hot and fed up so I told one of my students to take to a his barbershop so I could cut off my hair. Firstly it is hella intimidating walking into a barbershop full of MEN and get your hair cut off but I closed my eyes and prayed that I didn't end up looking ugly as my barber shaved off my hair. But God loves me, so once I got home and wet my hair I was so happy that I decided to go through with it and Tori was the first person I showed when I cut it off (she's a fellow baldie like myself)

July 2016 I'm all natural!

So for a while now, I've been wanting to go extremely low with my hair. Even though I practically have none to even begin with, I still like to experiment! I don't want to have the same one hairstyle for the rest of my life and besides this is the #YearOfLavish and there's nothing lavish about my hair being predictable!

But as always, I was worried about me looking ugly if I decided to go any shorter plus I have a serious conk at the back of my head I'm convinced my mother dropped me as a baby and has never owned up to it. Even though short hair was always suited me...to go THAT short had a betch scared.

But now that I'm part of this gym life (sigh) washing my hair 4 times a week due to amount of sweat Lucifer is making me do it was not only practical but something I wanted to see if I could pull off.

SO...

As a treat to myself for doing 4 days of working out, I went back to the barbers and those on my Snapchat were able to see the whole process. It's so important to treat yourself, sometimes I often feel guilty for spending time and money on myself because I've become so consumed with paying bills and being responsible but treating yourself is a part of self-care and is so important!

I put on my big girl pants and after reassurance from my barber I finally did it! He asked me several times if I was sure and my response was "it's just hair" so with that being said he started to chop...

*drum rolls*

I'm a baldy!

The moment I saw my big bald head I loved it and the response on my social media has been so lovely and warm! I've realised that confidence comes from within, I'm still a woman with deep rooted insecurities but it's something that I'm working on every single day because I am beautiful and I shouldn't feel guilty for feeling that way either!

So if you have days when you don't feel your best it's OK we all do, but always remember that you are unique, you are amazing and to always look and feel LAVISH! If that means you have to dress up knowing full well that your ass isn't going anywhere then so be it! Have a drink of wine and have your feet up/dance around the house to your favourite song (I regularly do this) to put on a smile on your face then buss a bumflick for me whilst your at it!

May has been a phenomenal month and soon we are halfway through the #YearOfLavish can you believe it? Those of you that have downloaded my ebook I hope that you've found the information within it useful and if you haven't got it yet simply sign up to my #Renegades mailing list to receive your copy!

As we leave this May weather I really encourage you in the month of June to think of some goals that you could achieve, a fear you want to conquer, or to try something new and make this June as lavish as can be!
